Michael Winner at the City of London Club

The aim
One in a series of celebrity lunches regularly hosted
by Lehmann Communications, this event provided Michael Winner with the opportunity to talk both about his film career and his new book ‘Fat Pig Diet’. The invitation to Mr Winner was inspired by his comment
in ‘The Sunday Times’ (30 September 2007) that
“…everyone knows the idiot in the family goes into public relations.”

The result
The audience of Lehmann Communications’ City clients and business media representatives relished
Mr Winner’s legendary biting humour both during the meal and in the signed copies of the book that they took away with them. Edward Fennell of ‘The Times’ was sufficiently impressed to devote the whole of his column to the topic (Tuesday 11 March 2008). Funds were also raised for Michael Winner’s Police Memorial Trust and for Demelza, one of Lehmann Communications’ charity clients.
