Private Equity event at the RSA
The aim
To provide clients and other interested parties with a stimulating forum for debate, we researched the key issues facing the financial services community and created a evening event at the RSA in central London under the title ‘Private Equity: Villain or Saviour?’ Presented in a ‘Question Time’ format, our prestigious panel of speakers from our own circle of contacts included Jon Moulton of Alchemy, Ian Armitage of HgCapital, David Bailey of the Financial Services Association (FSA), Michael McKersie of the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and David Paterson of the National Association of Pension Funds. Michael Cole – a member of the Lehmann Communications team and one of the UK’s leading media experts – chaired the debate. Guests included senior managers from leading professional services organisations, again invited from our own databases.
The result
Our choice of ‘Private Equity’ as the industry’s hottest topic of debate proved to be right on target. Later that evening BBC1’s ‘Newsnight’ programme picked up our baton and interviewed one of our speakers, Jon Moulton.
