The brief
Washington DC’s No. 1 law firm lost confidence in their legacy ‘top four’ advertising agency just before they were due to launch a pan-European awareness-raising campaign about the firm’s survey on the readiness of EU Accession States joining the European Union. They invited us to take up the challenge with just four weeks’ notice.

Our approach
We proposed the creation of an ‘EU Accession Group’ across the firm’s offices in London, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague and Budapest, launched by an event at the Czech Embassy in London.

The result
Attended by senior business opinion-formers, EU officials, Accession state embassy staff and leading journalists, the ‘EU Accession Group’ concept and the event attracted a high-level of national and legal press interest across Europe. Hogan & Hartson appointed us as its retained agency and we continue to advise them in a multitude of profile-raising initiatives.
